Executive Coaching that meets you where you actually are

Not where a textbook says you should be. We work with directors, VPs, and founders who have outgrown generic leadership advice and need a thinking partner who can keep up.

The ceiling you keep hitting

Most senior leaders hit a point where technical skill stops being the bottleneck. The real friction comes from somewhere less obvious:

  • Your team delivers results, but you still feel like you are carrying too much alone.
  • Board conversations leave you second-guessing decisions you were confident about an hour earlier.
  • You have been promoted into a role that nobody taught you how to inhabit.
  • Feedback from peers is polite but vague, and it is not helping you grow.

What changes with the right coach

A good coaching engagement does not add more theory to your shelf. It gives you a space to think clearly, test ideas without consequence, and build habits that match the leader you want to become.

Our clients regularly tell us the biggest shift is not a new skill. It is the ability to see their own patterns, interrupt the unhelpful ones, and act from intention rather than reflex. That shift changes meetings, relationships, and entire team cultures within weeks.

What we offer

Four distinct coaching formats, each designed for a different stage of leadership.

One-on-one executive sessions

Fortnightly 75-minute sessions over six months. We start with a structured diagnostic of your leadership context, then move into live coaching around real decisions, real relationships, and real stakes. Between sessions you receive written reflections and targeted exercises.

Typical engagement: 12 sessions across 6 months

Transition coaching

Designed for the first 100 days of a new role. Whether you have moved into a C-suite position, taken over a struggling division, or joined a new organisation entirely, this programme gives you a structured framework for early wins, stakeholder mapping, and cultural reading.

Intensive 90-day programme with weekly sessions

Leadership team alignment

We work with intact leadership teams of four to eight people. Over a series of facilitated workshops and individual coaching sessions, we surface the unspoken tensions, clarify shared priorities, and build the candour that high-performing teams require.

Typically 3 full-day workshops plus individual coaching

On-demand advisory

For leaders who do not need a full programme but want access to a senior coach when stakes are high. You get a retainer of four hours per month, used however you choose: a quick call before a board meeting, a debrief after a difficult conversation, or a deep-dive on strategy.

Monthly retainer, cancel any time after 60 days

How an engagement unfolds

No rigid curriculum. Instead, a clear structure that adapts to what you need most.

01

Discovery call

A 30-minute conversation where we explore what brought you here, what success looks like, and whether the fit feels right. No charge, no obligation.

02

Diagnostic phase

We gather input through a leadership context review, optional 360-degree feedback, and a structured self-assessment. This gives us a shared map of where you stand.

03

Active coaching

Sessions focus on live challenges. We use a blend of inquiry, frameworks, and direct feedback. You leave each session with a clear next action, not just an insight.

04

Review and close

At the end of the engagement we review progress against your original goals, identify ongoing development priorities, and create a self-coaching plan for the months ahead.

Who is behind this

The practice was founded by a former operations director who spent fifteen years inside FTSE 250 companies before training as a coach. That operational background matters: it means we understand the pressure of quarterly targets, the politics of senior teams, and the loneliness that comes with being the person everyone looks to for answers.

We hold accreditation with the International Coaching Federation at PCC level, and our approach draws on systems thinking, adult development theory, and a healthy dose of pragmatism. Theory is useful when it helps you act. When it does not, we set it aside.

Our client base spans financial services, technology, healthcare, energy, and professional services. The common thread is not industry; it is leaders who take their own development seriously and want a coach who will be honest with them.

Questions we hear often

Mentoring typically involves someone more experienced sharing advice from their own career. Coaching is different: we help you find your own answers by asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and holding you accountable to the commitments you make. We do not tell you what to do. We help you think more clearly about what you already know.

Many of our engagements are sponsored by the client's employer. In those cases we set up a three-way contracting conversation at the start to agree on goals and boundaries. The content of coaching sessions remains confidential. Your sponsor receives progress updates only with your explicit consent and only at the level of detail you are comfortable with.

Yes. About 70% of our sessions take place over video call. We also offer in-person sessions in Scotland and can travel to your location for intensive days or team workshops. The format depends on what works for your schedule and the nature of the work.

Pricing depends on the format and duration. A standard six-month one-on-one engagement typically falls between £8,000 and £14,000. Team programmes and transition coaching are scoped individually. We will give you a clear quote after the discovery call so there are no surprises.

We check in formally at the midpoint of every engagement. If either of us feels the work is not landing, we adjust the approach or, if necessary, end the engagement early. We have never had a client walk away feeling short-changed, but the option is always there. Good coaching requires trust, and trust cannot be forced.

Let's talk

The first step is a short conversation. No preparation needed on your end. Just tell us what is on your mind and we will take it from there.
